CORIANDER
- Coriander prices declined by 1.14 per cent to Rs 9,188 per quintal in futures trading today on slackened demand in the spot market against increased supplies from producing regions.
- At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, Coriander for delivery in May declined by Rs 104, or 1.14 per cent, to Rs 9,188 per quintal with an open interest of 22,030 lots.
- Similarly, the spice for delivery in April moved down by Rs 92, or 1.03 per cent, to Rs 9,050 per quintal in 45,800 lots.
- Market analysts said sluggish demand in the spot market against increased supplies from producing regions mainly pulled down coriander prices at futures trade.
CARDAMOM
- Cardamom prices fell by 0.39 per cent to Rs 763 per kg in futures trading today after speculators offloaded positions on sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
- At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March fell by Rs 3, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 763 per kg in business turnover of 357 lots.
- Similarly, the spice for delivery in April shed Rs 2.10, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 792 per kg in 108 lots.
