CRUDE PALM OIL
- Crude palm oil prices rose by 0.50 per cent to Rs 573.20 per 10 kg in futures trading after participants created speculative positions following rising demand in the spot markets.
- At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 2.90, or 0.50 per cent, to Rs 573.20 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 43 lots.
- Likewise, the oil for delivery in March was up by Rs 1.50, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 574.20 per 10 kg in 43 lots.
- Analysts said speculative positions built-up by participants following pick-up in spot demand mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
