NCDEX Tips for February 10, 2014

DAILY BUZZ

CARDAMOM

  • Snapping its four-day rising streak, cardamom prices dipped 2.11 per cent to Rs 710 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels on fall in spot market demand against adequate stocks position.
  • At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February plunged Rs 15.30, or 2.11 per cent, to Rs 710 per kg in a business turnover of 421 lots. 
  • However, spice for delivery in March held steady at Rs 802.70 per kg in 744 lots.

MENTHA OIL

  • Mentha oil prices rose 3.20 per cent to Rs 815.30 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend at the spot market on pick up in demand from consuming industries.
  • Tight stocks availability in the physical market following restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the uptrend.
  • At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March rose Rs 3.20, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 815.30 per kg in a business.
