CARDAMOM
- Cardamom futures fell 0.51 per cent to Rs 773.90 per kg today as traders reduced their holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
- Besides, sufficient stocks position in the physical market also weighed on the prices.
- At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for March contract declined by Rs 4, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 773.90 per kg with a business turnover of 370 lots.
- The spice for delivery in April fell by Rs 2.30, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 809 per kg with a trading volume of 196 lots.
- Marketmen said besides profit booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in spot market put pressure on cardamom prices in futures market
