CORIANDER
- Coriander prices rose by 0.79 per cent to Rs 8,943 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on rising demand in the spot market.
- At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, coriander for delivery in April rose by Rs 70, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 8,943 per quintal with an open interest of 30,150 lots.
- Similarly, the spice for delivery in May moved up by Rs 65, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 9,120 per quintal in 40,570 lots.
CARDAMOM
- Cardamom futures fell by 0.39 per cent to Rs 884.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in booking profits at prevailing levels, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market.
- Adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on cardamom.
- At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May fell by Rs 3.50, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 884.80 per kg in business turnover of 62 lots. Similarly, the spice for delivery in April shed Rs 3, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 865.20 per kg in 299 lots
