CARDAMOM
Cardamom prices rose by Rs 6.20 to Rs 923.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, supported by rising demand in the spot markets.
 

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August rose Rs 6.20, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 923.40 per kg in business turnover of 140 lots.
 

Similarly, the spice for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 4.50, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 904 per kg in 20 lots.
 

Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators following pick up in demand in the spot markets against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.

CORIANDER
Coriander prices rose by 0.9 cent on Wednesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the limited stocks on account of restricted arrivals from the major growing belts. At the NCDEX, coriander futures for July 2014 contract was trading at Rs. 11,405 per quintal, up by 0.9 per cent after opening at Rs. 11,385 against the previous closing price of Rs. 11,303. It touched the intra-day high of Rs.11,444 till the trading.
