NCDEX TIPS FOR THE WEEK AS AUGUST 25, 2014

CORIANDER
Coriander prices fell by 0.22 per cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the adequate stocks availability in the physical market put pressure on coriander prices. At the NCDEX, coriander futures for September 2014 contract were trading at Rs. 11,919 per quintal, down by 0.22 per cent, after opening at Rs. 11,872 against the previous closing price of Rs. 11,945. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 11,835 till the trading. (At 11.33 AM today). Sentiment weakened further as speculators reduced their positions on the back of sluggish demand in the market. Coriander is common in South Asian, Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Mediterranean, Indian, Tex-Mex, Latin American, Portuguese, Chinese, African, and Scandinavian

CARDAMOM
Cardamom prices rose by 0.34 per cent on Friday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on account of good buying support from both exporters and upcountry buyers and also on hopes of improved export demand. At MCX, Cardamom futures for September 2014 contract were trading at Rs 993 per kg, up by 0.34 per cent, after opening at Rs. 988 against the previous closing price of Rs. 989.60. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 994.50 till the trading. (At 10.44 AM today).
