NCDEX TIPS FOR THE WEEK AS ON 09 FEB 2015

JEERA
Jeera prices closed lower by 1.5 per cent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on account of a surge in the supply from the producing regions in the midst of a decline in the export demand. At the NCDEX, jeera futures for February 2015 contract closed at Rs. 14,150 per quintal, down by 1.5 per cent, after opening at Rs. 14,260 against the previous closing price of Rs. 14,365. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 14,010. Global output of Jeera is around 2.2 lakh MT per year, of which India produces about 1.5 lakh MT per year.

MENTHAOIL
Mentha oil prices rose by 0.58 per cent on Friday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to tight stocks position in the physical market due to restricted arrivals from producing belts. At MCX, Mentha oil futures for February 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs. 773.20 per kg, up by 0.93 per cent after opening at Rs. 764.60 against the previous closing price of Rs. 766.10. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 773.40 till the trading. (At 2.40 PM).
