Jeera
On Tuesday, Jeera prices ends low-down by 0.34 %
at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX)
on account of a surge in the supply from the manufacturing zones in
the midst of a decrease in the export requirement. At the NCDEX, July
2015 contract for jeera futures closed at Rs. 16,215 per quintal,
goes down by 0.34 %, after opening at Rs. 16,300 against the
preceeding closing price of Rs. 16,270. It reached the intra-day low
of Rs. 16,145.
Worldwide output of Jeera is around to be 2.2 lakh
MT per year, of which India produces about 1.5 lakh MT yearly. Jeera
is exported by India mainly to the UAE, US, Japan, UK, Brazil,
Bangladesh, Singapore & also other countries. Other Major
exporters are Turkey & Syria.
