Agri Tips & updates - Last week, Chana prices closed lower by 1.04 per-cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the steady sowing progress of pulses along with high supplies in major producing states.
At the NCDEX, September 2015 contract for chana futures closed at Rs. 4,486 per quintal, down by 1.04 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 4,500 as compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 4,533. It reached the intra-day low of Rs. 4,475.
Country is the largest manufacture of chickpea followed by Pakistan, Turkey & Iran. India produces nearly 6 to 8 million tonnes and contributes around 70 per-cent of the total world production.Read More Agri Tips
