Agri tips & news : Prices of Jeera ended low 2.59% 23 Sep, 2015

Agri tips - Last night, Prices of Jeera closed lower by 2.59 per-cent at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on account of a surge in the supply from the producing regions in the midst of a decline in the export demand. At the NCDEX, October 2015 contract for Jeera futures for closed at Rs. 16,010 per quintal, went down by 2.59 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 16,425 in against with the preceding closing price of Rs. 16,435. It attains the intra-day low of Rs. 15,900.

World wide outcome of Jeera is around to be 2.2 lakh MT every year, of which India manufactures about 1.5 lakh MT per year.

India exports Jeera mainly to the following countries UK, US, Japan, UAE, Singapore, Brazil, Bangladesh  & also other countries. Besides this, other Major exporters are Syria & Turkey.
