Cardamom price increases by 0.24 pts 9 Dec, 2015

http://www.researchvia.com/free-trials/Today, Cardamom prices went high by 0.24 per-cent at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on account of good buying support from both exporters & upcountry buyers and also on hopes of improved export requirement.

Dec 2015 contract for Cardamom futures were trading at Rs 632 per kg, up by 0.24 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 620.20 against the previous closing price of Rs. 630.50. It attained the intra-day high of Rs. 632 till the trading. (At 10.30 AM). Sentiment improved further as a result of firm requirement in the market inagainst with prohibited arrivals from producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.

Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the cardamom emerging states in India while around 90 % production  is consumed within the country. The important markets for cardamom in India are Vandanmendu, Bodinayakanur, Kumily, Thekkady, Kumbum and Pattiveeran Patti in Kerala.
