Today, Prices of Castor seeds fell down by 0.13 per-cent at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of fresh supply of the commodity in the major mandies as well as strong production estimates.
NCDEX : Castor seed futures for Dec 2015 contract was trading at Rs. 3,850 per quintal tonnes,went down by 0.13 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 3,870 in against with the last closing price of Rs. 3,855. It reached the intra-day low of Rs. 3,833 till 12 O 'Clock trade today.
Castor oil, extracted from castor seed is the largest vegetable oil exported out of India. India is the biggest exporter of castor oil holding nearly 70 % shares of the international trade in this commodity followed by Brazil & China.
