Prices of mustard seed closed lower by 1.5 per-cent on yesterday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the profit booking by the traders on account of the weak crushing and export requirement of mustard meal.
At the NCDEX,Dec 2015 contract for Mustard Seed futures closed at Rs. 4,608 per quintal, went down by 1.5 per-cent, after unlocking at Rs. 4,680 against the preceding closing price of Rs. 4,678. It reached an intra-day low of 4,596.
Maize prices closed down by 1.16% on yesterday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of heavy selling activity by the traders on account of higher global supplies & weak erofftakes from the local buyers.
NCDEX : Maize futures for Dec 2015 contract closed at Rs. 1,528 per quintal, down by 1.16 per-cent, after opening at Rs. 1,535 in against with the previous closing price of Rs. 1,546. It attained the intra-day low of Rs. 1,520.
