Indian Rupee expands gains for 4rth session, up 5 paise to 66.49 against USD

Reports told that, Extending its gains to the 4rth meeting, the indian rupee rose 5 paise to 66.49 against USD in early trade on today after the United States Fed chair Janet Yellen in an overnight speech questioned doubts over Fed rate lift in the near future.Click for stock option tips

The local currency had appreciated three paise to settle down at 66.54 on Tuesday on persistent dollar selling of by banks & exporters. Yellen on yesterday told that, the rate of inflation in the US has not yet proven sustainable against the backdrop of looming global risks to the economy of United States & that the US central bank should proceed carefully to policy adaptation.

Today's currency market tips & updates 2 Mar, 2016

The INR(rupee) rose 11 paise to 67.74 against the USD in early trade on Wednesday tracking a firm trend in most currency markets of asia.Click for Commodity tips

The domestic currency had rushed 57 paise to close at a 3-week high of 67.85 in the previous session following the FM Mr. Arun Jairtey's pledge to maintain FY16 fiscal deficit target near 3.5 per-cent of the GDP.

Provisional data available with BSE concluded foreign institutional investors were net buyers to the tune of Rs 1,761 crs on yesterday.

The index of dollar, which tracks the movement of dollar compared to basket of 6 major world currencies, rose 0.02 per-cent to 98.36 on firm data of US.

Share tips: Currency market updates for 22 Feb, 2016

Today, rupee depreciated 22 paise to 68.68 as compared to the US dollar, despite positive cues from most currency markets of asia.

The local currency had settled last week at 68.46. The rupee had strike an all-time low of 68.85 on August 28, 2013.Click for Share tips

Other market indices : Most other Asian markets traded higher. Japan's Nikkei went up 0.58 per-cent while the Kospi were trading lower by 0.31 per-cent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index went up by 0.99 per-cent. China's CSI300 index traded with gains of 2.11 per-cent.
