Jeera
On Tuesday, Jeera prices closed lower by 0.87 % at
the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on
account of a rolling in the supply from the manufacturing areas in
the midst of a decrease in export demand. At the NCDEX, August 2015
contract for jeera futures closed at Rs. 15,985 per quintal, 0.87
percent down, after opening at Rs. 16,085 against its preceding
closing price of Rs. 16,125. It touched the intra-day low of Rs.
15,930.
Worldwide output of Jeera is around 2.2 lakh MT
yearly, of which India produces about 1.5 lakh MT every year. India
exports Jeera mainly to the US, Japan, UK, UAE, Singapore, Brazil,
Bangladesh and many other countries.Besides this, other Major
