Today, Prices of Cardamom fell down by 0.68 per-cent at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to the insufficient stocks availability in the physical market on account of more supply from the manufacturing belts of Chandausi in UP(Uttar Pradesh).
MCX : January 2016 contract for Cardamom futures were trading at Rs. 734.80 per kg, went down by 0.68 per -cent, after starting at Rs. 732 against the preceding closing price of Rs. 739.80. It attained the intra-day low of Rs. 731.60 till the trading time. (At 11 O 'Clock today). Sentiment weakened further as the traders booked profits at the prevailing levels in the midst of a subdued requirement for the commodity.
