Sensex starts on a cautious note; Nifty-50 holds 7700

Today, Sensex started on a cautious note with a mild positive bias in morning trade ahead of March F&O expiry. The gains in the index was led by rally in HDFC, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Lupin etc.

Sensex rush over 200 pts, reclaims 25K

Today,  Sensex surged over 200 pts in morning trad after the United States Federal Reserve chairperson advised that the central bank must move cautiously on increasing interest rates.

The rally in the index was led by gains in ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, RIL, Tata Motors, and ITC.Click for Nifty futures tips

The Nifty-50 rebound to  its crucial psychological level of 7,650 supported by gains in metal, capital goods, realty, banks, auto, & power stocks.

The broader market traded in line with the BSE midcap & smallcap climbing 0.85 and 0.93 per-cent.

Sensex, nifty both trading down 17 feb, 2016

Today, Sensex slided over 200 pts tracking weak cues from other Asian markets on Wednesday, led by losses in ITCBSE -1.91 %, SBI, ICICI BankBSE -1.78 %, L&T, and RILBSE -0.74 %.

The Nifty-50 was trading below its critical level of 7000, weighed down by losses in oil & gas, metal, power, banks, consumer durable, capital goods & automobiles stocks.

Shares of Just Dial surged over 4 per-cent in early trade while those of NescoBSE -0.76 % went high above 3 per-cent. Country's largest lender, State Bank of IndiaBSE -2.59 %, slided over 2 per cent as management guided for weak earnings in Q4.

Nifty, Sensex Updates, Infosys & HUL Top Gainers

 
The 30-share index was trading near 23,883, down 137 pts or 0.57 per cent. It touched a high of 23,938.32 & a low of 23,861.21 in morning trading.

The Nifty-50 was at 7,259 down 40 pts or 0.52 per-cent. It reached a high of 7,271.85 and a low of 7,251.60 in the 1st 30 mins of trade.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was down 0.28 per-cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.29 per-cent lower.

Major Sensex gainers- Infosys (up 0.64 per-cent), HUL (up 0.5 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 0.37 per-cent), and HDFC Bank (up 0.2 per cent).

Tata Motors (down 2.8 per-cent), ICICI Bank (down 2.6 per-cent), GAIL India (down 2 per-cent), and Dr Reddy's Laboratories (down 1.7 per-cent)

Nifty-50 was trading above level of 7550 2 Feb, 2016

Share market: Sensex pares gains after regaining 25K

Today, the S&P BSE Sensex pared gains and turned negative after reclaiming its critical psychological level of 25,000 in morning trade, led by gains in Sun Pharma, L&T, HDFC Bank, Lupin, and Bharti Airtel.

The Nifty-50 came in some selling pressure after striking an intraday high of 7,592.32, weighed down by losses in oil & metal, auto, gas and consumer durable stocks. The index was still trading above its critical support level of 7,550.

Shares of L&T went high more than 3 per-cent in trade after Q3 results. In the meantime, shares of Aurobindo pharma cracked up to 5 per-cent. Lupin was trading higher by 2 per-cent.

Sensex regained, SpiceJet shares jumped over 10%

Today, the S&P BSE Sensex reunited over by 200 points in morning trade led by gains in ICICI Bank, SBI, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors and Infosys.

The Nifty-50 scaled above its critical level of 7,450 supported by gains in capital goods, metal, oil & gas, realty, and power stocks.

Shares of Airlines "SpiceJet" jumped over 10 per-cent while that of Force Motors climbed by 6 per-cent. ONGC also traded with gains of over 2 per-cent to become the top most gainer on the BSE Sensex. In the mean time, Bharti Airtel lost near 3 per-cent.

Commodity tips : Sensex up by 218 pts, Nifty goes up by 78 pts

Stock market news : The market unlocked on a confident note Friday. Click For Commodity tips The Sensex went up by 218.34 points or 0.9 per-cent at 24180.55 and the Nifty is up 78.90 points or 1 per-cent at 7355.70. About 488 shares are ahead, 69 shares down, and 24 shares are unchanged.

Top gainers includes- BHEL, Axis Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel and Hindalco in the Sensex. InterGlobe Aviation is down 6 per-cent while Idea slips 3 percent post Dec quarter results. The INR(Indian) rupee regained in the early trade post breaching 68 level in the yesterday's session. It opened high by 24 paise at 67.78 per dollar versus 68.02 yesterday.

Nifty fell down by 137.55 pts

At 3 Pm : The Sensex tumbled by 423.74 points or 1.67 per-cent to 24982.59 while the Nifty fell down by 137.55 pts or 1.78 per-cent to 7603.45. Still market continued in selling pressure in trade, tracking world wide weakness post China's trading halt & the commodity rout.

Bank nifty futures in pressure, Infosys, ICICI Bank, ONGC in Loss 6 Jan, 2016


Today,  the S&P BSE Sensex unlocked very flat in morning trade with a slightly negative bias, led by losses in Infosys, ICICI Bank, ONGC, Lupin and Tata Steel.Click For Bank nifty futures tips

But the Nifty-50 came in pressure, but was still trading above its support level of 7,750. The fall in the index was led by losses in oil & gas, telecom, banks and metal stocks.

Shares of Godfrey Phillips spurted over 4 per-cent on reports of possible buy-out of cigarettes business by Phillip Morris. Meanwhile, Lupin slided 2 per-cent in early trade.

Nifty regain some points, Sensex started flat 31 Dec, 2015


Today,  the S&P BSE Sensex started flat, but with a positive bias in morning trade ahead of F&O expiry, led by gains in HDFC, Infosys, HDFC Bank, M&M, & Coal India.

The Nifty-50 regained its critical psychological resistance level of 7,900, supported by gains in pharma, metal, consumer durable, and FMCG stocks.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.28 per-cent & the bse & s&p smallcap Index was trading 0.29 per-cent high.

Amid lack of directional sign from currency markets world widely, the rupee fell down 5 paise to 66.44 as compared to the US(United States) dollar in today's early trade.
